Film review

The film I choosed calls In Time. It’s an American dystopian sci-fi film shot in 2011 by director Andrew Niccol with Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried in main roles. He was born on 10th of June 1964 in New Zealand. As 21 years old he moved to London where his carrier started.

He became a film screenwriter, producer and director. He wrote and directed Gattaca , Simone, Lord of War, The Host , and Good Kill. He also wrote and co-produced The Truman Show, which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay in 1999.

The main character of the film is 28 years old Will Salas, the factory worker. The story takes place in future world. In 2169 people are genetically engineered to have perfect health and appearance. People have a subcutaneous shining digital clock on their left hand. At the age of 25 they’ll stop aging and their hours will begin counting one year.

If the time expires, they’ll die. The time became an universal currency, which you can pay by. The earth is divided into time zones according to the property of the people living in it. The film focuses on two contrasting zones: Dayton - a poor area of working people who have mostly 24 hours or less and New Greenwich - a wealthy area where people have plenty of time to live for the entire century.

This film touched me because of the main idea which is really deep and hard understandable and I think that it can be applied to today’s world. Time is money. Money moves the world and everything is about material things And everything belongs to rich people. I can absulutely recommend this film to people who love films which are different and have some deep message.
